Series: Unexpected Christmas
Passage: Isaiah 7:1-8:10
Speaker: Don Carson
Dr. Don Carson continues our study in Isaiah. The Prophecy of Isaiah is often cherished for its many utterances of hope, promise, beauty, and anticipation. But sometimes we pursue such textual treasures by unwittingly wrenching them out of their contexts. In this study, we pay special attention to the flow of the argument from Isa 7:1 to Isa 8:10, in the hope that by thinking carefully about the flow of Isaiah's argument we may gain greater clarity about what God, through Isaiah, means to give his people in the person of Emmanuel -- "God with us."
