Support the Ministry of CrossLife

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” -2 Corinthians 9:7

Thank you for your interest in contributing financially to the growth of CrossLife Church and our mission to build a loving community of Christ-followers in need of God’s presence. Our promise is to handle your funds with the utmost integrity and the information you supply will be kept strictly confidential. We thank you for your generosity.

Q: Is it safe to give online?
Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. The security of the system is continually managed by Easy Tithe.

Q: What types of bank accounts can I give from?
You can give online from your checking account via an E-Check (ACH) transaction. You can also give using your debit card.

Q: Are there any fees involved with giving online?
Not to you. You will not pay any fees with an online gift. In addition, online gifts are generally a more cost effective way for the church to process donations.

Q: Can I make a one-time contribution?
Yes. The system allows you the option of making either a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring contribution. For a one-time contribution, you can designate the contribution be made immediately. For recurring contributions, you can schedule the contributions to come out of your bank account on the date(s) specified by you.

Q: If I want to set-up a recurring gift, what are my options for frequency of my gift?
For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving weekly, twice a month or once a month.

Q: Can I change my personal information or the amount or the frequency of my gift once I have set it up?
Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in to the system using your username and password and make the necessary changes in the “My Account” Personal Info and History tab.

Q: Can I review my donation history online?
Yes. The site will allow you to view and print the complete history of your contributions that have been made online.

Q: Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
Yes. The church will continue to send year-end contribution statements to your email address on file for tax purposes.

Q: When will contributions be withdrawn from my account?
Contributions will be withdrawn from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you request. This time frame allows for the contribution to be processed through your bank and the church's bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Q: Can I designate my gift to a particular fund?
Gifts can be given to either the General Fund or the Benevolence Fund.

Q: How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution. If it is not correct, simply log back into your account and make your corrections.

Q: Does it matter which Internet browser I use?
We recommend the latest versions of Chrome or Safari.

Q. Can I use a debit card?
Yes, you can use a debit card from Visa or MasterCard, but true debit cards are not accepted through the Easy Tithe system due to the sensitivity of securely requesting a Personal Identification Number (PIN). ACH bank drafts can also be used instead for true debits.

Q: I have additional questions about online giving that have not been addressed. Who can I talk to?
For any questions, concerns or comments about the online giving system, please contact the Church treasurer at 847.362.8155 x12. You will receive a response from our staff as soon as possible.

PCI DSS Compliance & Security

As required by the PCI Security Council and all processing banks, easyTithe is a Level 1 Certified PCI Compliant Service Provider. This means easyTithe conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry. Your account managers, end users, and easyTithe employees will never have access to the type of sensitive information that might lead to an unauthorized transaction.

SSL Transaction Security

easyTithe uses 256 Bit SSL technology for data transactions. All personal, credit card, & bank information is submitted using 256 bit encryption. There is no stronger form of protection than this encryption and by doing this, we eliminate the possibility that someone might "tap" the line and extract your personal data from it. 256-bit SSL encryption has never been broken and according to RSL Labs, it would take a "trillion-trillion years" to crack the code using today's technology.

The Data Center

Our data center upholds security measures to rigorous standards. Proximity card entry, camera-recorded server room access, and a perimeter security system all protect the data center facilities. These security components ensure only employed, certified Server Engineers have direct access to the data center and individual servers. This restricted access ensures maximum security when maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting servers in the racks.

When you create your account, you will determine your own login id and password. If you forget your login id or password, you can have the system email it to you by entering the email address that you used when you created your account. You can also change your password at any time.

Please help us keep your information safe by protecting your login information. Access to sensitive personal and financial information can be gained by letting someone else use your account or by leaving the information for someone else to see. We will never call you to ask for your login information.

Our Policies

Your information is held securely by the Easy Tithe system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled.

If you would like to make donations to the church using stock, we have made the following arrangements to facilitate these gifts:

  1. Please notify the church treasurer at (847) 362-8155, extension 12 prior to donating your stock and let us know how you want the funds applied. This way we will know to expect the gift and can provide you the proper receipts for your tax reporting. Due to privacy concerns, your name is not transmitted by the broker to CrossLife to identify you as the donor. For CrossLife to identify you as the donor for IRS purposes, we rely solely on you notifying us of your gift.
  2. Contact your broker and ask to initiate a ‘broker-to-broker’ transaction using the following information:

CrossLife Evangelical Free Church
Acct # 950-10067-1-3

Thank you for your consideration and support of the ministry of the Gospel and mission of CrossLife EFC.
