At CrossLife, we believe church membership is God's plan for and a gift to every follower of Jesus. Membership is a commitment to belong to a local biblical community for the individual's spiritual growth in Christ and the good of the church.
Discover CrossLife
To support the membership process at CrossLife, we regularly offer a class for new members and those interested in becoming members, which we call Discover CrossLife. This 4-week class allows you to explore what we believe, who we are as a church, and what it truly means to belong to a local community of believers.
CrossLife Membership Process
In addition to the Discover CrossLife class, there is a basic process to becoming a member at CrossLife. It includes the following:
- Fill out and submit an application for membership.
- Interview with the Membership Committee. This is a time to share how you came to faith in Jesus with the committee, to ask any additional questions you have, and for us to affirm your understanding and commitment to our church's statement of faith as well as our model of church governance as outlined in our constitution and bylaws. We will schedule an interview shortly after we receive your application.
- Be approved for membership by the congregation at the next available congregational meeting. (Our congregational meetings are held in the months of September, January, and May).
