Service Opportunities

CrossLife has partnered with local organizations in order reach out to those in need in our area. If you are interested in serving in one of ways, please contact the church office. 

Love INC (In the name of Christ)

CrossLife also supports Love INC in Lake County by providing volunteers who help to pick up donated furniture and to deliver furniture to those in need. 

This takes place on the third Saturday morning of the month. Volunteers meet at Love INC at 8:00 am (339 Lakewood Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085). They are usually done by noon. Contact the Church Office or Jeff Macy if you are available to help. 

Waukegan City Clean up

When: Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 8:30-noon
Where: Christian Neighbors Church Parking Lot (222 N County, Waukegan) and then dispatched around Waukegan
Who: Volunteers from churches and organizations in Waukegan and beyond
Why: To demonstrate God’s love for our community by meeting a practical need. To build bridges among people and be unified in Jesus

Can children and youth help?
Absolutely! This is a family friendly event and a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages to serve together and show God’s love.
What will the schedule be? 
8:30AM - check in at the CNC parking lot, get a t-shirt, and connect with others 
9:00AM - short welcome and prayer, disperse in groups to different areas of the city 
11:30AM - return to CNC parking lot and enjoy a meal and fellowship together
Do we need to bring supplies? 
T-shirts, gloves, and large garbage bags will be provided as well as lunch. 
Is there a limit of participants from each church? 
We are excited to have people coming from over 15 churches and organizations and are praying for a great turn out. No group is too small to make a difference. However, we are requesting 50 volunteers at most from each group. Since one goal of the event is connection between different groups of volunteers, providing a limit for each group helps make sure we have representation and interaction from multiple communities.
