Pastor Marty continues in our series from 2 Timothy and reminds us of the redemptive work of Christ and the transformative power of the cross, all work together to yield godliness in our lives. We need discernment and wisdom as we navigate challenging times, to protect us against the temptations of self-centeredness, love of money, and lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God. We need our behavior to reflect our character, living holy lives, enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers must be controlled by a heart of godliness.
