As we begin our new series in 2 Timothy, Pastor Marty highlights how faithfulness to the gospel is the centerpiece of pastoral ministry in people’s lives. Paul dealt with issues of a significant yet developing congregation amid various growing challenges to faith and the gospel. We are to be faithful to the gift of sound teaching we have been given through the gospel, guarding it with the help of the Holy Spirit, as this is the centerpiece of effective ministry. Our faith should be contagious, generating excitement within, and sharing with others. If we cannot be excited about our faith, how can we expect this from others?
